Grant UK sponsors Highworth Town Juniors under-13s in third Wiltshire club deal in five weeks
The Swindon-based heating manufacturer has agreed a one-year sponsorship of the U13 H boys team for the 2026/27 season, following recent deals with Robins FC and FC Chippenham Youth.
Heating manufacturer Grant UK has agreed a one-year sponsorship of the under-13 H boys team at Highworth Town Juniors FC in Wiltshire, its third grassroots football deal in the county in five weeks.
The company said on 30 October that the sponsorship covers the 2026/27 season and extends its programme of support for local grassroots clubs.
Highworth Town Juniors FC is based on the outskirts of Swindon and was founded in 1964, according to Grant UK. The company said the club has grown into one of the largest grassroots football clubs in Wiltshire, with more than 30 junior teams from under-7s to under-16s, plus ability counts teams for children and adults with disabilities.
Roger Midwinter, Manager of the U13 H team, said: "Contributions to grassroots sport in general are vital to enable us to keep giving opportunities to young people in the area."
The U13 H team plays 9-a-side football in the North Wilts Youth Football League and is run by two volunteer coaches, Grant UK said.
Anna Wakefield, Head of Internal Sales and Marketing at Grant UK, said: "We have recently extended our support of local grassroots sports clubs and we are pleased to sponsor Highworth Town Juniors FC U13 H team as part of this initiative."
Wakefield said the club has provided football training to local children for more than 60 years and has recently developed and opened a new 3G pitch.
The wider programme
The Highworth deal follows two other youth football sponsorships Grant UK announced this autumn.
On 12 October the company said it was sponsoring the Robins FC under-8s boys teams in Swindon. Robins FC was founded in 1991 and its two under-8s teams, with more than 20 children, play in the North Wilts Football League, Grant UK said. Paul Wainwright, Robins FC Chairman since 1991, said Grant UK had recognised the club and the grassroots movement as a whole.
On 25 September Grant UK announced a two-year sponsorship of FC Chippenham Youth under-11s Galaxy Girls. The company said the club was formed in 1974 and has more than 500 members. Elliot Noyes, Galaxy Girls Coach, said sponsorship of that kind makes a big difference to grassroots teams.
Grant UK's corporate social responsibility (CSR) page now lists five sponsored clubs: the three 2026 football deals, plus the Melksham RFC mini and junior rugby section and Devizes Town Youth Football Club under-12s, both sponsored in 2021.
The company said the Chippenham sponsorship followed its Kick the Carbon Grassroots Community Sustainability Programme. According to Grant UK, that programme, run with Bath Rugby, was delivered in primary schools in Wiltshire, Bath and the surrounding area between spring 2024 and summer 2025 and aimed to reach more than 2,000 schoolchildren. Nearly 900 key stage 2 pupils attended sessions in its first year, the company said.
Grant UK became Bath Rugby's official sustainability and grassroots partner at the start of the 2023/24 season, according to the company. Kick the Carbon was Highly Commended for Energy Awareness Campaign of the Year at the Energy Saving Awards in both 2024 and 2025, according to the company.
The company
Grant UK said its community engagement focuses on three areas: youth, charity and employment. On the charity side, the company said it has donated £85,000 to the Wiltshire & Bath Air Ambulance since 2019 and is continuing to support the charity in 2026.
Grant heating products have been on the market since 1978 and the range runs from oil-fired boilers to heat pumps, according to the company. Grant UK said its head offices have always been in Wiltshire; Companies House records Grant Engineering (UK) Limited, incorporated on 3 May 1996, with a registered office at Frankland Road, Blagrove, Swindon.
The Highworth sponsorship runs for the 2026/27 season, while the FC Chippenham Youth deal covers two years.
